Jenovations is the home of beautiful tableware displaying the works of Louisiana's famous folk artist, "Clementine Hunter", designed and painted by Jennifer Sweeney. Jennifer has chosen some of Clementine's more famous paintings to be reproduce on this tableware. Our tableware is made in Portugal. The collection contains four different place settings which depict her life as she experienced it on the "Melrose Plantation in Natchitoches, Louisiana along the Cain River. Melrose was the favorite resting place to many famous artists and authors when visiting the area. Miss Hunter lived to be 101 years old and her work has been displayed in many prestigous museums including the Smithsonian. A special wing honoring her work has been built in a New Orleans museum. Many paintings represent special stories which were the insperation for her paintings.
Each place setting consists of a large dinner plate, salad plate, bowl, and mug. The green place setting depicts a washday scene, the yellow depicts a threshing pecan scene, the blue depicts an angel scene, and the pink depicts a cotton picking scene. The dishes are dishwasher and microwave safe.
